CHIJMES HALL
Construction of the 19th-century Neo-Gothic Chapel began in 1901 and was completed in March 1902. The beautiful stained glass windows were created by renowned Belgian artist Jules Dobbelaere in 1903. The chapel’s ceiling and 30,000 pieces of stained glass were later cleaned and repaired in France. Achieving National Monument status in 1990, the chapel stands as a testament to Singapore’s rich heritage.
With over 115 years of architectural grandeur, our chapel features an interior adorned with sparkling crystal chandeliers. The high ceilings and filtered light from stained glass windows create a captivating ambiance, offering our Watabe Singapore guests a unique and elegant experience. Suitable for gatherings of 80 to 308 guests, its modern furnishings make it ideal for various events, including corporate functions and weddings.
